Located in Liberty Square in the Magic Kingdom theme park, The Hall of Presidents is a Disney classic originally envisioned by Walt Disney himself. In the 23-minute presentation, which features a film of specially produced paintings projected onto a 180-degree screen, guests learn about the origins of the Constitution and the presidency, and the challenges both have faced since the Declaration of Independence.

Then, in the most dramatic moment of the show, the screen parts to reveal America's 42 presidents, brought to life by the magic of Disney's Audio-Animatronics technology, which combines and synchronizes dialogue, music, sound effects, animation and other show elements to give lifelike movement to three-dimensional figures. A patriotic finale finds the figure of our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, rising from his chair to deliver words that still resonate with modern audiences:

"Most governments have been based on the denial of rights. Ours began by affirming our rights.

"Let us turn this government into the channel in which the framers of the Constitution originally placed it. If we cannot give freedom to every creature, let us do nothing that will impose upon another creature. True democracy makes no inquiry about the color of the skin or place of birth, or any other circumstance or condition.

"We propose to give all a chance. We expect the weak to grow stronger, the ignorant wiser, and all better and happier together. Let it be as nearly reached as we can. For the struggle of today is not altogether for today . . . it is for the vast future also."
